Marc Cadieux

Marc Cadieux is President of First Citizens Innovation Banking where he focuses on the needs of innovation companies at all stages of development, including the investors who back them.

Marc joined SVB in 1992. In the three decades since, he has held a variety of top credit and sales roles serving some of the world’s most innovative companies. Most recently, he served as chief credit officer, appointed in 2013, and oversaw credit policy and process, credit underwriting, loan approval and portfolio management activities. He is a strong advocate of bank initiatives to expand opportunities for those who are underrepresented in the innovation economy. He serves as an executive sponsor for the company’s employee resource group focused on women employees.

When he joined the bank, Marc launched the bank's first loan workout and restructuring group. He has held a variety of roles in credit, sales, and relationship management, which included assistant chief credit officer, Peninsula region manager, and risk manager for the Eastern US division, the UK, Israel and Canada.

Previously, Marc held several positions with Pacific Western Bank and Bank of New England. He earned a bachelor's degree in economics from Colby College.
