Kyle Larrabee

Kyle Larrabee is a director with the Strategic Capital Group for First Citizens Innovation Banking. Kyle’s primary area of focus is providing junior debt structures, such as mezzanine and convertible debt options, to growth- and late-stage technology companies across the US and is involved with the identification, structuring and execution of junior debt endeavors for the bank. Kyle enjoys advising clients on their complex debt capital needs, which often entails working with many different stakeholders — internally and externally — and includes everything from making decisions on the most strategic course of action for debt structures to working closely with prospects and clients to implement structures that provide them with accretive value. He is very pleased to have the opportunity to witness founders’ passion for innovation and celebrate their successes as they execute upon their visions.

With more than a decade at First Citizens Innovation Banking, Kyle has experience working with companies in their early stages all the way through IPO, advising them on debt capital needs. Most recently, he led the credit solutions team, focusing on executing new and existing debt opportunities with Austin-based portfolio clients. This fast-growing and diverse loan book dealt with early- to late-stage businesses and all technology sectors. Earlier, Kyle was a vice president, then a senior vice president, within credit solutions in the San Francisco Bay Area. There, he served as a primary liaison for corporate clients and prospects, leveraging his solid experience of working with large clients with revenues of more than $75 million, his strong understanding of banking and finance and his familiarity with cash flow and other complex structures. Kyle completed the First Citizens Innovation Banking associate development program in Denver, Colorado, before becoming a senior associate in Chicago, Illinois.

Kyle holds a bachelor’s degree in finance, having graduated cum laude, with a specialization in alternative assets from Southern Methodist University’s Cox School of Business.
