Verina Hanien is a vice president on First Citizens Innovation Banking’s Crypto team with 7 years of experience across fintech, crypto and traditional finance. She helps innovators navigate growth with strategic guidance and deep industry expertise.

Prior to joining First Citizens Innovation Banking, Verina supported client management at Web3-native startups, strategic partnerships at Coinbase and held business development and product roles within J.P. Morgan Payments. She has assisted venture-backed companies at every stage with banking infrastructure, capital strategy and digital asset solutions.

Verina is particularly passionate about the future of money and the transformative role stablecoins can play in building a more efficient and inclusive financial system. She is inspired by the builders advancing global financial infrastructure and is committed to helping them scale responsibly and sustainably.

Born and raised in New York, Verina holds a bachelor of business administration in economics from Baruch College and a data analytics certificate from Columbia University.
