Tim Walsh

Tim Walsh, managing director of First Citizens Innovation Banking’s Strategic Capital Group, oversees the San Francisco–based team that provides debt solutions to mid- and late-stage technology and innovation companies, equipping them to achieve their maximum potential for success.

A graduate of Indiana University Bloomington with a bachelor’s degree in finance, Tim has been with First Citizens Innovation Banking since 1997. Early on, as head of Structured Products, he served as a sales originator to companies at their formative stages. In 2013, he was named senior credit officer, a role that deepened his knowledge of the innovation economy as he built and managed teams offering creative debt solutions to First Citizens Innovation Banking’s clients.

Tim enjoys biking and hiking with his wife, son and daughter in and around San Anselmo, California. He’s an active member of One Tam, an organization dedicated to protecting the ecology and long-term health of beautiful Mount Tamalpais, just north of the Golden Gate Bridge.
