Mark Thylin
Mark Thylin is head of Partnerships for First Citizens Fund Banking . In this role, Mark manages First Citizens Bank’s overall relationships the Centers of Influence (COIs) in the private funds ecosystem for the Bank. COIs include fund administrators, lawyers, accountants, placement agents, etc. Each of these services, along with fund banking, are critical to the private equity, private credit, and venture capital communities.
Mark has more than 25 years of banking experience across the private equity, venture capital, and technology sectors. Previously, Mark founded and ran the Structured Fund Solutions team at Silicon Valley Bank (SVB). The team was responsible for net asset value (NAV) lending to private equity funds and secondaries funds, as well as leverage lending to private credit funds.
Prior to this role, Mark was a region manager for SVB’s Global Fund Banking teams in Denver, Chicago and Toronto. During his tenure, he has worked in SVB offices in Northern California, Arizona, Colorado and the UK. He has also served in a variety of financial positions for companies that include Robertson Stephens Investment Bankers, Level 3 Communications and McKesson Health Solutions.
Mark currently resides in Denver, CO where he earned both a bachelor’s degree in finance and an MBA from the University of Colorado.
