Dax Williamson

Dax Williamson, CFA, is the Founder and Co-Head of the Aerospace, Defense & Security practice and a market manager for First Citizens Innovation Banking. He leads the bank’s efforts to drive success for innovators and investors across the Central and Southern US markets. With the backing of First Citizens Bank, First Citizens Innovation Banking remains the leading provider of capital and insights to growing innovation companies, as well as the investors who back them.

Prior to joining the bank in 2008 to serve the entrepreneurial community, Dax was an investment manager overseeing more than $1B of client funds in public equities.

Dax holds an undergraduate degree in finance from TCU.

He spends his time actively supporting organizations and activities that bring focus to emerging markets across the Southern US as innovation hubs. He also actively volunteers with CASA of Travis County, helping raise funds to support advocacy efforts for neglected and abused children in the region.

When not at work, Dax loves golfing, cheering at his kids' sporting activities, and making a concerted effort at becoming more than a novice wine connoisseur.
