Chris Leary

Chris is a managing director with First Citizens Innovation Banking’s fintech practice, based in Boston. He covers Series A through late-stage fintech companies in New England as well as late-stage fintech for the East Coast and Southeast US. As a relationship manager, Chris has primary responsibility for his clients’ overall needs and to help foster the Boston fintech ecosystem.

Having joined First Citizens Innovation Banking in 2005 as a credit analyst, he’s covered various sectors, life stages and geographies during his tenure, with a particular focus on lending solutions. Chris previously worked at State Street Corp and Waddell and Reed.

Chris holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and lives in Arlington, Mass. with his wife, two daughters and a three-legged rescue dog often referred to as “Big Hoppy”.
