Now in our seventh year with AFROTECH, Silicon Valley Bank, a division of First Citizens Bank will host the AFROTECH Founders' Summit on October 30th at the Houston Convention Center. SVB curated impactful experiences for attendees including:

  • Innovation Stage panel: Tosh Ernest, Head of Catalyst 2045, led an engaging discussion with multi-hyphenate artist and entrepreneur on thriving in the innovation economy overcoming challenges unique to founders.
  • Founders & Funders event: SVB hosted a Pitch Competition with our partnership with BLCK VC and StartupOS; providing valuable networking, insights and strategic opportunities for Black tech startups and investors.

Recharge and reconnect experience:

SVB’s Recharge Lounge located outside of the learning labs created an oasis for attendees between sessions. The lounge offered complimentary refreshments, professional headshots, a silent disco/meditation space and charging stations, the lounge became a sought-after destination to recharge and network. AFROTECH highlighted it as a prime example of attendee-focused engagement.
